MARONEY MILE

April is the best month of the year! Why I hear you ask, because kids start winter sport, swimming is at it's peak with National Age championships coming up, school swimming has just finished in time for tired swimming muscles to have the break they need, before we start for the winter season.
The weather for the Maroney Mile was 24 degrees, sunny and the perfect conditions for a fun day at the pool.

This year was the first year for our Parent Vs Kid challenge and it was red hot competition between Tarni Payne and her tennis playing mother Chris Payne.
Another competition that kept everyone guessing was between the synchronised swimming competitors Dave Lumsden and Gary Jackson who swam stroke for stroke, 1600m.
